Finding Your Ancestors--Genealogy Series

Want to learn more about your family's history? The monthly genealogy series offered by the Boise Public Library and the Idaho State Archives continues, with each month's session exploring a different resource for finding your ancestors. Steve Barrett, a reference archivist at the State Archives, teaches the classes.

Sessions are scheduled for the second Wednesday each month through June, and are held in the Main Library's third floor Marion Bingham Room from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Remaining topics include:

February 11 - Finding Ancestors in Federal and Local Land Records
March 11 - Finding Ancestors in Local Court Records
April 8 - Finding Ancestors in Probate and Estate Records
May 13 - Finding Ancestors in Immigration and Naturalization Records
June 10 - Looking for Word of Ancestors Nationwide and on the World-Wide Web

The genealogy series is appropriate for both budding and experienced researchers. For more information, call 384-4076 or visit www.boisepubliclibrary.org/calendar. The Main Library is located at 715 South Capitol Boulevard in downtown Boise.
