This Book is Not Yet Rated - Discussion Panel
6:00 PM
Rediscovered Books
Description:
The BSU Gender Studies department presents a discussion panel of BSU professors who will join us this evening to talk about the graphic novel, Blue is the Warmest Color, a tenderly told story about a young woman who becomes captivated by a girl with blue hair. Clementine, a high school student, is suffering from an identity crisis when she locks eyes with Emma on the street. Emma's blue hair and age difference haunts Clementine even in her dreams, pulling her toward a romance that she, her friends, and her family can't begin to understand.

We will have a discussion panel about the graphic novel/gender and sexuality issues, a showing of excerpts from This Film is Not Yet Rated, and a Q&A with the audience and panel members. Refreshments will be provided at the event by the Shangri-La Tea Room. Books are for sale before and the night of the event.
