Learn Something New!
Boise Public Library Launches Its Maker Series

Boise Public Library is launching a new series of "Maker" classes this month, designed to help adults learn new skills and explore new technologies. Each month, the Library will partner with a different Maker within our community to offer a workshop for hobbyists, tech enthusiasts, or anyone who wants to learn something new. All equipment will be provided; no pre-registration required.

Sew Like a Pro! Join Chelsea Snow from local boutique/gallery/workspace Bricolage to learn how to cut and sew a t-shirt into a simple, handy bag for carrying your goodies from the market or your books back to the library. Saturday, April 19, 2:00 p.m., Library! at Collister, 4724 W. State St.

Tiny Houses. How much space do you need to live comfortably? Could you create it entirely yourself? Macy Miller set out to answer these questions, and ended up with a 196-square-foot 'tiny house' that's off-grid compatible and built using recycled and reclaimed materials. Hear her story and learn about the tiny house movement. Thursday, May 15, 7:00 p.m., Main Library Hayes Auditorium, 715 S. Capitol Blvd.
