Kids of Boise! Join us Friday evening, April 25th for a reading, signing, and author talk of The Shadow Throne! Jennifer Nielsen will take a break from speaking at the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators conference to stop by our store and hang out.

Jennifer Nielsen is the author of the Ascendance Trilogy, which is a staff favorite in our store. The first book in the series, The False Prince, tells the story of Sage, an orphaned thief, who is one of four boys chosen to participate in a lethal contest. After being plucked from the streets by a nobleman named Connor, Sage learns that Connor plans to choose one of the orphans to impersonate a long-lost prince in the hopes of averting a civil war.

All three books in the trilogy will be for sale at the event.
