April 26 - Vale to Burns: Roadside Geologic Wonders
This trip is led by Emerald Shirley, a recent Masters graduate of BSU in Geology, and Steve Cox, who has done a road log for this fascinating trip to explore east-central Oregon geology. The trip examines roadside geologic features along Oregon Highway 20 from Vale to Burns and will be limited by reservation to 6 vehicles because of safety issues in parking on roadsides along a major state highway. The trip will register at the Winco parking lot on Meridian Road off I-84 (Exit 44) at 7:30 AM with a departure at 8:00 AM. Cost is $10 for IMMG members, $15 for non-members. Come prepared with plenty of food and water, and dress for all weather possibilities. Pre-registration is required by calling Steve at 853-1678
