Have you ever wondered about beekeeping and the importance of honeybees to agriculture and food production? Well look no further! In this class you will learn basic bee biology and what beekeepers do to work with bees' natural behaviors to ensure that the bees survive the many threats they face in today's world and reward their efforts with a delicious natural sweetener that humans have enjoyed for millennia. You will get hands on experience with the various tools beekeepers use to manage their bees, basic bee hive construction, the process of extracting the honey from the hives, separating the honey from the beeswax, and how to bottle the honey so that it can be stored or shared with friends and family!
