Description:
Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds

Kiley Webb, Health Promotion Intern with Southwest District Health, will present "Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds" in the library's Multipurpose Room on June 15th at 5:30pm. All are invited to attend.

The major health problems in North America are largely caused by a poor diet, excessive energy intake and lack of exercise. Current research shows us that physical activity is positively correlated with improvement in memory, cognition, and learning.

Combining proper nutrition and physical activity are key factors to having a healthy body and a healthy mind. This program will show you how a healthy diet can help:

- Prevent disease
- Maintain a healthy body weight
- Provide energy
- Help with stress management
- Improve mood and mental health

Ms. Webb will also provide suggestions and strategies on how to change diet and physical activity to promote optimal health. A registered dietitian will be in attendance to answer questions regarding nutrition.

Attendees participating in the Adult Summer Reading Program will receive a bonus drawing ticket!
