Description:
Join us for a discussion of the sedimentary features of Table Rock. After driving up to Table Rock, tour guides Steve Cox (IMMG Board President) and Eliza Schulz (IMMG Operations Coordinator) will take you on an easy walk of 0.8 miles to discuss Table Rock sedimentary features and the fire damage. Register at Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology, 2455 Old Penitentiary Rd. at 7:30am with departure at 8am. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring water and lunch. Table Rock tour ends by noon.

After lunch Steve and Eliza may continue with a moderate .04 mile hike (one way) to Caste Rock. Elevation gain is about 250 feet. The purpose will be to discuss the geology of Castle Rock. This hike's feasibility will depend on the day's temperature and the mood of the group. Total cost is $10 IMMG members, $15 non-members. www.idahomuseum.org, Steve 853-1678
