SHIBA (Senior Health Insurance Benefits Advisors) is part of a network of state health insurance programs across the United States and its territories. SHIBA volunteers are trained on a regular basis to provide free and unbiased information, counseling, and assistance to seniors and their caregivers. In Idaho, SHIBA is funded by the Idaho Department of Insurance and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency which administers the Medicare program.
