Nonprofit Resource Thursdays
4:00 PM
Boise Public Library
Description:
Boise Public Library and the Idaho Nonprofit Center invite nonprofit leaders, staff members and volunteers to Nonprofit Resource Thursdays, an opportunity to learn about free and low-cost resources available to nonprofits. The free, drop-in sessions are held on the third Thursday each month from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on the third floor of the Main Library in downtown Boise.

Each month, a variety of experts is available to help nonprofit representatives educate themselves on various topics, such as nonprofit bylaws, the start-up process, fundraising resources, finding and managing volunteers and other support. We'll also show you how to use a searchable database of over 150,000 grant opportunities.

Each session also includes an optional roundtable discussion on a specific topic from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. In these peer-learning experiences, you'll share insights, swap stories, and learn best practices from other people in your line of work and from discussion leaders with expertise on the topic. Upcoming topics include:

August 18 - A Guide to Utilizing Long Term Volunteers. Serve Idaho's Renee Bade, Program Manager, and Heather Luff, Grants/Contracts Officer, will host this one.

Nonprofit Resource Thursday is offered through a partnership with the Idaho Nonprofit Center, with support from the Bank of the Cascades. For more information, call 972-8255 or visit www.boisepubliclibrary.org/calendar. The Main Library is located at 715 South Capitol Boulevard in downtown Boise.
