'Memory jars' go on display in September

The Library! at Bown Crossing will display "memory jars" throughout September, and is looking for people to help decorate the jars and fill them with mementos. The library hopes the jars will help capture and preserve the memory of a special person, place, or time in participants' lives.

Participants are invited to come decorate the jars on Saturday, Aug. 19, and supplies will be provided. Participants also are welcome to bring any special objects they want to feature in the jars. Adults, teens, and children accompanied by an adult are welcome.

Those who are unable to attend but still want to create a memory for display can pick up a jar and tag from the library beginning Tuesday, Aug. 15.
