Description:
The Sawtooth Salmon Festival, an annual tradition, kicks off at 5:00pm on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Stanley Community Center, Highway 21 in Stanley, with a presentation by Outdoor Idaho and Idaho Public Television's host Bruce Reichert.
The festival continues Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10:00am at the Stanley Museum, with free shuttle tours throughout the day to view wild salmon spawning; educational booths manned by many sponsoring organizations; salmon experts on hand to answer your questions. There will be food and drink on site, with Papa Brunee's producing pizza by the slice and Idaho Rivers United offering beverages all day.
The festival's famous Salmon Dinner will feature wild Alaskan salmon and accompanying side dishes from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, catered by local owner and chef, Doug Plass, of the highly regarded Redd Restaurant. Dinner music will be provided by Scott Knickerbocker. Dinner tickets are $30.00 for SIHA or IRU members, $40.00 for non-members/general public.
