El Korah Shrine hosts all-ages night of handmade costumes and dancing

The Boise Public Library wants you to suit up and strut your stuff at its inaugural cosplay contest and ball! The event is a part of Library Comic Con 2017, which runs Aug. 26-27.

Whether you're into superheroes, supervillains, TV characters or literary figures, you'll want to dust off your sewing kit, warm up your glue gun, and get crafting. Any original, homemade costume is eligible, and prizes will be awarded in three age categories.

After the contest, everyone is invited to dance the night away at the El Korah Shrine in downtown Boise, at the cosplay ball featuring DJ Psycache.
