For a long time athletes and coaches have recognized the performance benefits of interval workouts. More recently, those same types of workouts have shown tremendous health benefits from relatively short periods of high intensity. On day one you will learn the science about how the "one minute workout" and similar type approaches can improve your health in dramatic ways. On day two you will do such a workout in The College of Idaho's Exercise Physiology laboratory on stationary bikes and experience how short, but how tough these workouts are. Course Requirements: Must complete a waiver at the first class to indicate that you are healthy to exercise.
