Class Description:
Come and enjoy the Fiesta with Mexican Folk Dance! This course is an introductory class to the art of Mexican folk dancing, also known as, "bailes folkloricos". Basic steps, choreography, skirt work and simple dances will be taught. Each dance will tell a story, incorporating the "folklore" of Mexican culture. Highlights of the history of each dance and its relevance to Mexican history and culture will also be shared. No prior experience is necessary.
