Writing Workshops for Adults
7:00 PM
Boise Public Library
Description:
Did you know Boise Public Library hosts writing workshops? If you're an adult writer looking for feedback on your unpublished work, you might want to check them out. They're held at the Main Library on the first and third Tuesdays each month, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Marion Bingham Room. All levels are welcome.

Meetings are devoted to discussion of submitted work, plus occasional exercises or projects. Participants submit their work on a rotating basis, and give and receive feedback. Writing may include fiction (short stories, flash fiction, novel excerpts) and creative nonfiction (personal essays and memoir excerpts), with a flexible word limit of 5,200 (approximately 15 double-spaced pages). Two Library staffers, Lorie Broumand and Heidi Lewis, lead the sessions.

For more information, contact Lorie Broumand at [email protected] or 972-8266, or visit www.boisepubliclibrary.org/calendar. The Main Library is located at 715 South Capitol Boulevard in downtown Boise.
