Historically, when a country took over another country, they would try to wipe out all their traditions. To preserve the beauty, grace, and power of Irish step, the Irish people hid their dancing in order to keep it alive. After years of covert activity, Irish step has come to the forefront with popular shows such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. The Irish Dance Idaho dancers are ready to make the journey and share their skills and talents live - in Irish Dance Underground! Irish Dance Idaho is an uncommon community of committed, hard-working, dedicated, and talented children and adults that love all things Celtic mixed with all things Idaho. And it's a great mix! Focused on performing art skills, the Irish Dance Idaho teams and dancers work hard, and it shows! Creative, exact, difficult and athletic choreography blend traditional Irish steps into performance selections to entertain both contemporary and traditional Irish dance enthusiasts. Since its beginnings in 2005 the IDI dancers have performed at literally hundreds of events throughout the Treasure Valley and the state of Idaho. With Irish Dance Underground, we hope to offer you another perspective as you enjoy a culture not so very far removed from our own home of Idaho since everyones a little Irish!
