The Idaho Black History Museum is proud to present the Meeting of the Minds: Legends of Idaho Basketball Classic on Friday, July 25, 2008 at the Qwest Arena located at 233 S. Capitol Blvd in downtown Boise. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. following Game Time International’s Pro-Am Championship.

General admission tickets are $12.00 for Adults and $8.00 for Juniors (12 & under) and Seniors (55 and over). A family pack is also available for $35.00 and includes two Adult tickets and two Junior/Senior tickets. Tickets are valid for both the Pro-Am Championship at 6:00 p.m. and the Legends of Idaho Basketball Classic at 7:30p.m. Cal 208/433-0017 to order tickets.

Some of the greatest basketball players to ever grace the hardwoods in Idaho will be coming together to participate in the Meeting of the Minds: Legends of Idaho Basketball Classic fundraiser to benefit the Idaho Black History Museum. All of the participating players spent time during their basketball careers playing at either the high school or collegiate level in Idaho. All of the major Idaho colleges will be represented as well as other Northwest colleges and many Treasure Valley high schools.
Many Idaho basketball greats will be participating in the event including Orlando Lightfoot, Tanoka Beard, Mark Leslie, Harry Harrison, Corey Violette, Geoff Goss, Brian King, Matt Bauscher, Lance Vaughn, Mike Tolman, Bus Connor, Steve Connor, Tommy Connor, Jason Cook, Derek Boles, Charlie Henry, Chris Baumann, Ricky Bower, Danny Bower, Mike Chatterton and others.

Never before have so many great athletes with ties to Idaho come together to share their talents in support of their Idaho community. This is going to be a truly unique event. Not only will it be a chance to raise money for the Idaho Black History Museum, but it will also be an opportunity to highlight the sport of basketball in our great state and celebrate the accomplished careers of many Idaho athletes.
