Kicks off in Boise today!
BEMF goes global at The Rx on Saturday with Kybermusik!
The 3rd Annual Boise Experimental Music Festival is a four-day event occurring May 29 through June 1, 2008 in Boise, Idaho, USA. The festival will feature approximately 40 musical performances, 12 headliners from out of state or other countries, 30 unique performers/groups, and over 20 hours of creative music. Performance styles showcased at this event range from experimental and avant-garde, to free jazz and electro-acoustic, all prime representatives of the creative music arts. The festival will also integrate experimental and avant-garde film, during intermissions and during most all performances to produce a multimedia experience for attendees.
Stop by the Record Exchange on Saturday between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm and check out Rainer Straschill’s Kybermusik program, giving festival performers the opportunity to perform live with musicians all over the world via the Internet. Straschill is one of Germany's most inventive musicians. This portion of the festival is free and open to the public.
