Boise Rock School End of Fall Session Gig
4:00 PM Linen Building
Description:
BOISE ROCK SCHOOL students to perform END OF FALL SESSION GIG Dec. 11 and 12 at LINEN BUILDING
Two-day concert event features performances by all active Boise Rock School bands
Live at the Linen presents the Boise Rock School End of Fall Session Gig at 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 11 and 12 at the Linen Building, 1402 W. Grove St. in Downtown Boise's Linen District. $5 suggested donation at the door. All ages, full bar (I.D. required), Pie Hole pizza, cookies and treats from Bleubird. Plenty of free, off-street parking is available at the Linen Building.
Boise Rock School's quarterly Session Gigs at the Linen Building represent 12 weeks of hard work by Boise Rock School students. All active bands at Boise Rock School perform, putting what they've learned into practice on stage in front of the public.
More than 200 students from Boise Rock School will be taking to the stage to show off their skills, including students from BRS outreach programs at Foothills School of Arts and Sciences. We are hoping a Yeti may show up to play bass, but we have yet to receive confirmation. If you know of a Yeti that is free this time of year, send him or her our way!
"At the beginning of a session [new sessions start in September, January, March and June], students form a band and make a plan," says Boise Rock School Cofounder Ryan Peck. "The Session Gig represents the target on the wall for three months - the moment where they can shine for their parents, family and friends and show other Boise Rock School bands what they've been up to for 12 weeks."
