Boise Hawks ALS Awareness Day

ALS-TDI and Major League Baseball have joined to make July 4th, 2009, ALS Awareness Day in memory and celebration of the 70th anniversary of Lou Gehrig's farewell speech at Yankee Stadium on July 4th, 1939. Please join us on July 4th for some baseball, great food and fireworks – and to show your support to those who are suffering from ALS and their families.
With the support of the Boise Hawks Baseball Club, July 4th will be an especially exciting event this year. The Hawks’ 4th of July ballgame is always a sold-out event in Boise, as following the game a world-class fireworks show lights up the Boise skies from the stadium. Fans in attendance not only get to see some great baseball, but enjoy the best seats in town for the fireworks display.
For $25, each attendee of ALS Recognition Day at Memorial Stadium will receive a ticket behind home plate or on the third-base line (shaded!) for the Hawks vs. Eugene Emeralds game vs. Eugene Emeralds and an exclusive all-you-can-eat pre-game picnic in the area known as the Hawks' Nest. The first 300 supporters who show up on July 4th will also receive a free T-shirt.
The pregame picnic begins at 6:00 p.m. and includes hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken breasts, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, dessert, and all-you-can-drink soda and beer.
Event packets will be available for pick up one week before the game at the US Bank building in downtown Boise (101 S. Capitol Blvd), Suite 300. Any packets not picked up by July 2nd will be placed in will call at Memorial Stadium prior to the event.
