Bored of the same old Valentine's Day routine? Come to the Old Idaho Penitentiary for a fun alternative to the day devoted to love. Stroll through the site and snuggle up with the your Valentine or find the true meaning of "ball and chain." Visitors can also read through our special exhibit "Romancing the Pen: 'Love' Stories from the Penitentiary," about all the wrong things our inmates did for love. Exhibit includes stories about adultery, theft, and escapes (may not be appropriate for younger children). Complimentary hot chocolate is available. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions
