Beat Coach Pete Scholarship Run/Walk
9:30 AM Boise State Recreation Center
Description:
Racers are challenged to beat Boise State University head football coach Chris Petersen to the finish line while benefiting student scholarships.
The three-mile race winds through campus, along the Boise City Greenbelt and finishes outside Bronco Stadium.
Cost is $15 for Boise State students and children 10 and under, $25 general and $60 for a family of five if you register by April 7. Late registration begins April 8 and increases to $20, $30 and $80 respectively. April 12 and 13 is on-site registration, if participation has not yet filled to capacity.
The first 2,500 registered participants will receive a T-shirt donated by the United Dairymen of Idaho. Finishers and supporters are invited to join in a finish-line bash where they can meet Coach Pete. The party is hosted by Recreation Services, the Department of Athletics and premier event sponsors.
The spring football game is at 5:30 p.m. that same day at Bronco Stadium. All race participants have free access to the game with their race bib number.
Participants are encouraged to sign up early and help raise funds for Boise State's need-based scholarship fund. To date, the Beat Coach Pete Scholarship Run/Walk has raised more than $138,000 in emergency funding scholarships.
Free parking for the Beat Coach Pete Scholarship Run and Walk will be available in the following locations: Lincoln Avenue Garage and Manitou surface lot.
