Family-friendly event features live music, social dance, beginner lessons and more
A new year is upon us, and the Linen Building is excited to announce a new monthly series: West Coast Swing! The live music and dancing event will make its debut at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at the Linen Building, 1402 W. Grove St. in Downtown Boise's Linen District. $5 per person, $15 per group of four (family and/or friends). Admission includes a raffle ticket. All ages, full bar (I.D. required), Pie Hole pizza. Plenty of free, off-street parking is available at the Linen Building.
You're a rule breaker, right?
Good. We need you. Join instructors and dancers from multiple clubs and studios and be part of the next huge step in expanding dance in the Treasure Valley - a new kind of dance event at the Linen Building aimed at crossing lines, creating new normals and the like.
Don't worry. While we will be crashing through barriers at the speed of awesome, boldly going where no one has gone recently, there will be a few familiar goings-on sprinkled in with the surprises to keep us all grounded, such as:
- A beginner lesson at 7 p.m. followed by a social dance
- All skill levels welcome
- Adult beverages for adults
- Low lights
- Fantastic music
- A large group of amazingly fun/interesting people to dance with
- Raffle prizes, including merch, gift certificates and passes to other dance events
That is where the average-ness officially ends.
You won't want to miss this one. Mark it on your calender, grab a sitter for the kids, take the night off. Join the entire Boise dancing community for an unforgettable night!
