Description:
The 2012 Meridian Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Friday, November 30th at Generations Plaza (Main and Idaho). The Ceremony will begin at 6:30pm, but show up early for a special showing of the cartoon "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" at 6:00pm. Co-Emcees Mayor Tammy de Weerd and Carolyn Holly of KTVB Idaho's News Channel 7 will lead a magical evening that will include free donuts from Krispy Kreme, free hot chocolate and coffee from Starbucks, performances from local school choirs, the announcing of the Chirstmas essay contest winners, free carriage rides, a visit from a very special guest and, of course, the lighting of the City's Christmas Tree. The Marines Toys for Tots will also be in attendance so don't forget your unwrapped gift to donate. Please join us to celebrate the start of the Christmas season!
