Sunset-Moonrise Hike

Description:
Once every lunar cycle, the sun sets and the full moon rises at
virtually the same time. On this one-hour moderately strenuous hike
we will watch the sun setting and -- within minutes -- the full moon
rising as the lights come on in the city below.
The route takes us to a vantage point above Boise on Central Ridge Trail in Military Reserve just minutes from downtown Boise.
The hike starts at 8 p.m. Friday, May 8. Upcoming hikes are planned June 6, July 6, Aug. 5, Sept. 4 and Oct. 4. Times vary.
Open to participants age 16 and older. Meet at Fort Boise Community Center, 700 Robbins Road.
