Gallery Grooves and great art await at
The Gallery at the Linen Building during
First Thursday. The second-floor art gallery will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at the
Linen Building, 1402 W. Grove St. in Downtown Boise's
Linen District. Admission to The Gallery is free.
Make The Gallery at the Linen Building your first or last stop of the night. Not only can you view fine art like
Corrin M. Olson's "Urbanscapes,"
the current exhibit at Downtown Boise's newest art gallery, you can
enjoy beer, wine, lounge seating and Gallery Grooves courtesy of
DJ Pedro (
myspace.com/audiomedics). The
Modern Hotel and Bar is right next door if you want to have dinner or a nightcap.
With
natural light, warm sunsets and bird's-eye views of Downtown Boise and
the Linen District, the second-floor, loft-style Gallery offers artists
and art lovers a fresh, unique urban space in which to display and view
art.
"Art is the focal point of First Thursday and something I
have wished to see more of in the Linen District for a long time," said
Gallery/Linen Building Owner David Hale. "Each month, The Gallery will
provide a unique stop on the First Thursday stroll and another reason
to visit this bustling district."
