Hailing from Osaka, Japan, Ikuko learned to make sushi in her Japanese kitchen with her mother and sisters. Easy to make, sushi is healthy and delicious. In this ever-popular hands-on class, Ikuko continues to unravel the secrets of sushi making with some old and new interpretations. She teaches the essentials of sushi making and includes detailed information about selecting the best sushi ingredients and guidelines for purchasing them locally. She also sneaks in a little etiquette lesson and teaches the basics of Japanese green tea. Sake and a guide to drinking this tasty brew are also provided.  This class is hands on.
