Greening Outdoor Recreation
2:00 PM Boise Public Library
Description:
Families are invited to this hands-on,
interactive library program in which children learn how to act as
stewards of our open spaces while enjoying outdoor recreation. Join the
fun Saturday, May 24, at 2 p.m. in Boise Public Library’s Hayes
Auditorium at the Main Library.
Through games, activities and lessons presented by REI staff, kids will
learn the principles of the REI PEAK program (Promoting Environmental
Awareness in Kids), developed as the result of a unique partnership
between REI and the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. The
activities and games are geared toward kids 6-12, but the information is
universal, so don’t hesitate to join us.
For more information, please contact the Boise Public Library, Youth
Services Division at the Main Library at 384-4200. Or, check our
