Description:
Join us at the Idaho State Museum Thursday, June 6th at 6:00 P.M. for a talk by Dr. David Walker on the Battle of Normandy. Walker is a history professor at Boise State University. His talk “D-Day plus 75: Risk and Reward and Willie and Joe” dives into the historic battle, and comic characters Willie and Joe. These illustrations helped publicize the life of infantrymen during World War II.
First Thursday is free to the public from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.
Dr. David Walker teaches history at Boise State University. He specializes in US military history, World War II, the history of firearms and tactics, the history of US Foreign Relations, as well as International Terrorism.
