Description:
Every Child Ready to Read

Boise Public Library invites children ages 4-5 years to bring their parents to free "Every Child Ready to Read" classes at the Main Library. The three-week series is scheduled for Thursday evenings, April 9, 16 and 23, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium. Registration is required.

Parents will receive hands-on experience in getting children ready for reading. The classes are designed to help children and parents learn early literacy skills that help to prepare children for reading success in school. Each week, one or two skills will be highlighted, and parents will have a chance to practice with their child during class. Families will receive a free children's book or other resources at each class.

Register for the series through our online calendar at www.boisepubliclibrary.org/calendar (search for "Every Child Ready"). You may also sign up at the desk in the Main Library children's area, or by calling 972-8201.

The Main Library is located at 715 S. Capitol Blvd. This program is made possible by Boise Public Library and Read To Me, an initiative of the Idaho Commission for Libraries.
