Join Idaho Rivers United and the Sawtooth Interpretive and Historical Association in Stanley, Idaho for the annual Sawtooth Salmon Festival.
The Salmon Fest is a longstanding late-August tradition. Festivities begin Friday evening, Aug. 28, with a presentation at the Stanley Museum by Forest Service salmon biologist Russ Thurow at 5 p.m.
The festival ramps up Saturday, Aug. 29, starting at 10 a.m. featuring biologist-led tours to see wild salmon spawning in the waters of their birth, music by Scott Knickerbocker of the Hokum Hi-Flyers, food, kids' activities, beer from Sockeye Brewing & more! (Sorry, no salmon dinner this year.)
