Juanita Aguilar, a Registered and Licensed Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator with Southwest District Health will be here to present this vital information.

You'll learn more about what the disease is, its different types, and how it works in the body. She'll give you tips on planning healthy meals and how you can incorporate physical activity into your management plan. She will discuss the importance of properly taking prescribed medications and monitoring blood sugar levels and give tips on the prevention of diabetes related complications, including recommendations for what tests and exams may be helpful.
